Yosemite National Park In the Spring
Spring in Yosemite is a diverse time to visit this famous national park. It may rain, it may snow just a little, or the sun may shine with all its glory. The one big plus is that this is the time of year that the water falls are most likely to be at their peak flow. If you compare the images in this gallery with ones in my winter galleries you will notice how much more water there is in the falls at spring time. In fact the winter of 2007 I did not photograph the water falls because there was so little water flowing from them.
This shot of Half Dome was taken in the evening after a rain storm began to clear from the area. It had rained in the valley all day but just as the sun began to set it lighted the face of Half Dome as the clouds pealed back like curtains at a theater.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. If you would like a print of any of these photographs please contact me at alvance@charter.net. All images on my site are for sale.
