Near the Nevada/Arizona border is a place with some of the most interesting products of erosion that you'll find anywhere in the world. It is not a grandious place like Niagara falls or Yosemite. In fact it is only about a half mile of eroded sand stone that has been carved into all kinds of unusual creatures by the winds and storms of time.

It really has no official title but has been called several names by photographers. Among them are Little Finland and Hobgoblins Playground. At times it has been called The Devils Fire. You will discover from my gallery of the this place why the various names have become popular for this fascinating place.

My son, Danny, and I spent two days and two nights in this area so we could photograph two evenings. Morning photography is not the ideal time because there is a large shadow that covers the half mile of fomations early in the morning. You will see in the following pictures that we spent some time at play during those morning hours. You'll have to bring your own toys to photograph if you make the trip. Get past our play time images to see the landscape. Enjoy the tour.
