I have found that both sunrise and sunset are by nature the best times to photograph Bryce Canyon. In the morning some groups of hoodoos glow with light as if they were on fire. Watch for areas where this lighting happens.
Another tip is to be sure to shoot images close up. Use your wide angle but then exchange it for a telephoto. Many of the images in my Bryce Canyon #2 gallery were taken with a 70-200 telephoto and some were even take with a 100-400 telephoto. So use your imagination and see what happens.
