The Vermillion Cliffs area is one of the first set of steps in the Grand Staircase of the Escalante Grand Stair Case National Monument. The Vermillion Cliffs are located in Arizona. However most of the Escalante Grand Stair Case National Monument is located in Utah. The two states share some of the grandeur of this unique part of the country.
